Each fall, historic Downtown Northville transforms into a lively celebration of community, tradition, and heritage with the beloved Victorian Festival. Since its debut in 1989, the festival has grown into one of Northville’s most anticipated annual events, a weekend filled with food, live entertainment, children’s activities, and fundraising for local nonprofits and community groups.

This year promises another unforgettable experience as neighbors and visitors gather to enjoy Victorian-themed fun set against the backdrop of Northville’s charming historic architecture.

Why the Victorian Festival Matters

The festival is not just about entertainment; it is about honoring Northville’s unique identity. Designed to highlight the Victorian era architecture and spirit that defines our town, it also provides vital support to nonprofits, civic organizations, and community groups. It is a celebration that brings us together, strengthens community bonds, and showcases what makes Northville truly special.

Festival Highlights

  • Parade and Entertainment – The weekend kicks off with the colorful Victorian Parade, followed by performances from local dance troupes and live bands across multiple stages.
  • Horse and Carriage Rides – Take a step back in time with carriage rides through downtown, departing from City Hall.
  • Live Music – From folk and classic rock to country and hair bands, music lovers will find something to enjoy all weekend long at Town Square and the American Legion.
  • Vintage Baseball – Don’t miss the Eclipse Vintage Baseball Club playing at Ford Field, a true throwback to America’s pastime.
  • Family Fun at Mill Race Village – Sunday brings a full day of vintage games, kids’ crafts, magic shows, and hands-on demos like woodcarving, tinsmithing, and blacksmithing.
  • Rotary Pancake Breakfast – Start Saturday morning with a hearty community breakfast at the American Legion.

Friday, September 19

5:00 PM – Nonprofit, craft, and vendor booths open
6:30 PM – Victorian Parade
7:30 PM – Center Stage Dance Company (Main and Center)
7:00 PM – Power Play Detroit (Town Square Stage)
9:00 PM – Booths close
Other highlights: Folk music at the American Legion and a country party at the Marquee Theater

Saturday, September 20

9:00 AM – Rotary Pancake Breakfast (American Legion)
10:00 AM – Booths open
11:00 AM – Horse and carriage rides
11:30 AM – Magician Christopher (Town Square)
1:00 PM – Eclipse Vintage Baseball (Ford Field)
6:00–8:30 PM – Shawn Riley Band (Town Square Stage)
9:00 PM – Booths close
Other highlights: Joey Skinner, The Side Project, Dale Hicks, and Hair Band Esperance performing throughout the day and evening

Sunday, September 21

10:00 AM – Booths open
11:00 AM – Horse and carriage rides and vintage games (Mill Race)
11:00 AM–4:00 PM – Mill Race Village open with games, crafts, demos, and tours
12:30 PM – Jordan Duff (Town Square Stage)
1:00 PM – Eclipse Vintage Baseball (Ford Field)
3:00 PM – Duck Race (Mill Race Village)
5:00 PM – Festival closes
