Who I Am

Steady Guidance for Life's Important Transitions

Real estate is rarely just about property. It is about timing, family, finances, and making confident decisions when the stakes feel high. For more than 26 years, I have helped buyers and sellers across Northville, Novi, South Lyon, Plymouth, and Metro Detroit move forward with clarity and confidence.

I grew up in Novi — a Novi High School graduate — and have worked out of my office at 127 Hutton Street in downtown Northville since 2000. Today I live in South Lyon, which means I have personal roots in three of the communities I serve most actively. That is not a credential I can list on a business card. It is just the reality of how I have lived and worked in this part of Michigan for my entire adult life.

Every neighborhood and price tier behaves differently. I take the time to understand your goals and create a clear, thoughtful plan built around your timeline and priorities — not a template I pull off a shelf. If you are thinking about buying or selling and are not sure where to start, I will give you a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

Before Real Estate

I Put Out Fires You Never Knew Were There

Before I entered real estate in 2000, I spent over a decade as a firefighter and EMT. That is not a detail I lead with to make an impression. I lead with it because it genuinely shaped how I work — and because the connection between those two careers is more direct than most people expect.

"In emergency services, you do not get to be unprepared. You do not get to panic when the situation changes. You show up, you assess what is actually happening, and you act — calmly and deliberately."

Real estate transactions rarely involve the same stakes as a house fire or a medical emergency. But they do involve the same human element: people under pressure, making decisions that matter, who need someone in the room who is not rattled by complexity.

A seller who receives a low offer. A buyer who loses a home in a multiple-offer situation. An inspection that reveals something unexpected. An appraisal that comes in under contract price. A closing that nearly falls apart the day before. I have navigated all of these — many times — and the discipline that made me a capable EMT is the same discipline that makes me a capable agent when those moments arrive.

More than 75 percent of my business comes from referrals and repeat clients. I believe that number exists because people remember how they felt during the transaction — not just whether it closed.

The Firefighter Difference

What That Background Actually Means in a Real Estate Transaction

Emergency response taught me a specific way of working that has translated directly into how I approach real estate. It is not about bravado. It is about preparation, clarity, and staying steady when other people cannot.

When a transaction gets difficult — and at some point, most of them do — you want someone in your corner who has been trained to stay calm and solve problems, not to escalate them.

Preparation Matters

A firefighter who is not prepared before the call is dangerous. An agent who is not prepared before the listing or the offer is expensive. I do not show up to transactions unprepared.

Clear Communication Under Pressure

When a situation is stressful, the people in it need clear, direct information — not noise. I give clients what they need to make a decision, not what is easiest to say.

Staying Calm When It Counts

The deals that go smoothly are easy to manage. The ones that don't are where the difference between agents becomes clear. Staying measured when a transaction gets complicated is something that comes from experience — in both careers.

How I Work

What You Can Expect When You Work With Me

I treat every client the way I would want to be treated if it were my transaction. That is not a tagline. It is the standard I hold myself to on every call, every showing, and every negotiation.

01

Honest Pricing — Not Wishful Thinking

I will not tell you what your home is worth just to get the listing. I will tell you what the market actually supports — because an overpriced home costs you time and money, not just the listing opportunity.

02

Data-Driven Strategy, Not Guesswork

Every pricing recommendation and negotiation position I take is built on real comparable sales data from your specific neighborhood and price tier — not regional averages or algorithmic estimates.

03

Professional Marketing That Attracts Real Buyers

Professional photography, accurate MLS data, targeted digital exposure, and direct reach to buyers already searching in your market. The goal is qualified showings, not just activity.

04

Negotiation on Price and Terms

Getting an offer is not the finish line. Negotiating the right price, the right contingencies, the right timeline, and protecting your position through inspection and appraisal — that is where the real work happens.

05

Clear Communication at Every Step

You will know what is happening in your transaction. Not because you had to ask, but because I stay ahead of it and keep you informed before you need to wonder.

06

Available When You Need Me

Real estate does not keep business hours. When something happens — a showing request, a competing offer, an inspection finding — I am reachable and I respond. That is a baseline expectation, not a premium service.

My Connection to This Market

Grown Up Here. Working Here. Living Here.

I graduated from Novi High School. My office has been at 127 Hutton Street — on the main street of downtown Northville — since 2000. I live in South Lyon. The communities I serve are not markets I studied from the outside. They are the places I have grown up in, worked in, and come home to for my entire life.

"Knowing those differences — and being able to explain them clearly to a buyer or seller — is something that comes from sustained presence in the market, not from researching a community online."

I serve clients throughout Northville, Northville Township, Novi, Plymouth, South Lyon, New Hudson, Brighton, Milford, Wixom, Canton, and communities across Wayne and Oakland County. Each of those markets behaves differently — different price tiers, different buyer profiles, different inventory dynamics. Understanding those differences is what allows me to give clients accurate guidance rather than generic advice.

Areas of Expertise

Specific Situations Require Specific Experience

Beyond standard buying and selling, I hold designations and carry deep experience in situations that require more than a generalist approach.

Senior Transitions & Rightsizing

Holding the SRES designation, I work with seniors and their families navigating the decision to downsize or transition — with patience, clarity, and an understanding of what that process actually involves.

Divorce-Related Real Estate

As a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE), I work with attorneys and clients to manage real estate transactions during divorce proceedings — with professionalism and sensitivity to what those situations require.

Luxury & Golf Course Communities

Northville Hills, Stonewater, Maybury Park Estates, Tuscany Reserve, The Downs, and other premium communities require market-specific knowledge and a buyer profile that most agents are not positioned to reach.

Move-Up & Relocating Buyers

Whether you are moving up within Metro Detroit or relocating from out of state, I provide the local knowledge and tour efficiency that time-sensitive buyers need to make confident decisions quickly.

Data-Driven Pricing Strategy

My pricing approach is built on neighborhood-level comparable analysis — the specific homes a buyer would actually consider as alternatives, not broad market medians that obscure what your property is genuinely worth.

Estate & Complex Transactions

Estate sales, probate situations, and transactions involving multiple decision-makers or legal considerations require experience, patience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with attorneys and family members.

Professional Designations

Credentials That Reflect Specific Training
